What are we looking for?

We are looking for highly skilled HGV technicians to come and join us. At TCR we work with a diverse range of equipment, making each day an exciting new challenge!

Our Technical employees are required to carry out high standards of service and repairs on equipment such as elevators, fuel and food trucks, towing tractors, aircraft tugs, forklifts and a range of other Ground Support Equipment that you see on or around an airport! Everyone is expected to work in line with Health and Safety guidelines, the ISO 9001 framework and guidelines on vehicle maintenance.

The ideal candidate

HGV technicians will need to have a certified qualification in motor mechanics and experience in maintenance of heavy vehicles. They will require a City and Guilds certification in HGV Level 3 or its equivalent. If you hold an LGV 2, Forklift or HGV class 1 licence it will be advantageous but not essential. You will need to have experience in working on commercial or plant vehicles with a high standard of attention to detail and efficiency rates. Self-motivated with a clear understanding of the health and safety systems and the ability to work under own initiative.

We are looking for applicants who are team players, willing to listen and take new ideas on board. You need to have a ‘can do’ approach, are good at making things work and getting the job done. You need to be proactive, self-motivated and flexible to fit into our fast paced, challenging environment!

Working Hours  

As we operate a 24/7, 365 we mainly work 4 on 4 off shifts and have a range available including days, lates, nights or combinations of all of them.

Important information!

You will need to:

  • Be able to demonstrate your Right To Work in the UK.
  • Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5 year history verification.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
