Operations Supervisor - Night Shift

We have a very exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to come and join our team at Heathrow Airport, TCR’s largest site within the UK.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of Technicians and Support Staff to deliver the efficient, cost effective and high quality service of repair and maintenance of Ground Support Equipment. You will be responsible for making sure their work is carried out to the highest standard in line with customer requirements and safe working practices.

About you

You will need to hold a qualification in Motor Mechanics and will have experience from an Operational or Workshop environment, ideally in vehicle repair, servicing and maintenance. You will understand Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and be able to deal with demanding customers. You will have proven experience of managing and leading people. You will have strong communication skills and be able to adapt your style to suit a wide range of internal and external customers and you will be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. You will have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel and you will be able to interpret data and take appropriate action.

You need to be proactive, self-motivated and flexible to fit into our fast paced, challenging environment - you will have a can-do approach and be able to lead by example.

Working Hours:

Working hours will be 40 hour per week, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 1800-0600.

You will need to:

  • Be able to demonstrate your Right To Work in the UK
  • Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5 year history verification
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Provide certification for all qualifications
